Oregon Growth Account
The Oregon Growth Account (“OGA”) is a return-driven portfolio investing in private fund managers with significant potential to impact the state. Business Oregon’s Investment Strategist and Consultant actively meet with potential investors to find the ones most likely to generate returns, impact Oregon’s economy, and achieve the Board’s strategic priorities. Currently, the Board’s strategic priorities focus on underrepresented communities, statewide initiatives, and filling capital gaps across verticals and funding stages. OGA invests in promising local fund managers as well as established national fund managers to leverage more private capital and expertise for Oregonian companies. Ultimately, the goal is for OGA’s increasingly diverse lineup of investors to be a resource to as many local startups and high-growth businesses in Oregon as possible.
OGA is constantly considering investment opportunities. For additional information, please contact Ricardo Lopez at growth.board@biz.oregon.gov. Oregon Growth Fund
The Oregon Growth Fund (“OGF”) is an impact-driven portfolio with a more patient risk/return profile than the Oregon Growth Account. Through more modest checks but increased technical assistance from Business Oregon’s Investment Strategist, OGF can act as a catalytic anchor investor across the state as well as a feeder system for OGA. Emerging fund managers can seek funding from OGF, develop a track record, and eventually seek increased funding from OGA. At the same time, OGF invests in regional or specialized venture capital competitions to leverage private angel investors and help build a pipeline of startups statewide. OGF also considers non-venture capital investment opportunities if they align with the Board’s strategic priorities and legislative intent.
OGF is constantly considering investment opportunities. For additional information or to apply for funding, please fill out the Due Diligence Questionnaire and submit it to growth.board@biz.oregon.gov.
