The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) intends to release an Implementation of Findings From PCORI's Research Investments PCORI Funding Announcement (PFA) on Aug. 4, 2026, seeking to fund implementation projects that promote the uptake of peer-reviewed findings from specific PCORI-funded patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) in the context of the body of related evidence. This PFA is an open competition opportunity for principal investigators to propose implementation projects that move evidence toward practical use in improving health care and health outcomes. Applicants may propose projects with budgets up to $1.8 million in total direct costs. Evidence Eligible as the Focus of Implementation Under This PFA
Each release of this PFA will identify selected published, peer-reviewed evidence as the focus of implementation for proposed projects. These findings have been generated by PCORI-funded research or systematic reviews. With this PFA, PCORI is interested only in applications proposing projects to implement the evidence identified.
For the Cycle 3 2026 PFA, PCORI has identified the following areas of eligible evidence\: 1. Screening and Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in Children and Adolescents
Recent findings support the strength of evidence for specific treatment approaches for pediatric OCD, including recommendations for therapy and medication. Increasing access to effective evidence-based treatment for children and teens with OCD has the potential to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life for youth with OCD and their families.
