OVERVIEW BACKGROUND LOCATION
OVERVIEW NJ BASE Overview
NJ BASE will focus on attracting international companies in industries that are critical to New Jersey’s economy across a range of key sectors and services. Priority sectors include clean energy, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, fintech, transportation and logistics, and AI and technology. The center will assist businesses seeking to access the larger U.S. market by establishing themselves in New Jersey, in order to expand, attract investment, and create high quality, long-term jobs.
Participants receive access to free, high quality, co-working space, targeted support services, and access to a Business Immersion Program that connects them with New Jersey’s business ecosystem.
NJ BASE, which will house approximately 15-20 companies as a first cohort, will be located in Downtown Jersey City. NJ BASE is a NJEDA program operated by SOSA, a globally recognized technology and innovation consulting firm.
New Jersey’s footprint in foreign markets has expanded throughout the past few years. NJ BASE will serve as a major point of attraction during future state economic missions and as a core pillar of foreign direct investment activity. New Jersey leadership recently embarked on numerous economic missions, including to India, Canada, Ireland, Israel, Germany, East Asia, and several Gulf Arab states resulting in domestic economic growth.
