As of November 7, 2025, the Application Period is now CLOSED for the Facility Investment Expense Reduction (FIXR) Program. We are pleased to announce the following selected applicants:

Sub-Recipient Award Project City of Aberdeen $100,000 Install insulation & drywall on the walls and roof, 1 new window, & 1 new insulated door on 4 city-owned well houses. City of Aberdeen $50,000 Install 7 energy efficient light fixtures in the city shop & 1 energy efficient light fixture in each of 4 city-owned well houses. City of Ammon $66,000 Replace 8 roll-up shop doors with modern, high-R-value insulated doors in the city public works facility. Fruitland School District $34,910 Install 1,012 energy efficient light bulbs across the district office & early childhood center. Fruitland School District $99,000 Install 4,055 energy efficient light bulbs across the high school, gymnasium, agriculture building, & band room.

The FIXR Program supports eligible public entities to implement certain projects that meaningfully increase energy efficiency, build on the success of other energy efficiency programs, and rapidly deploy funding to entities who need it with costs up to $100,000. The FIXR Program will cover up to $100,000 for the following eligible projects: Energy efficient lighting Weatherization upgrades Purchase and installation of energy efficient appliances (upgrade to Energy Star) and equipment that can be completed in the project timeframe HVAC upgrades that can be completed in the project timeframe

The FIXR Program’s objective is to complete energy reducing retrofits in a cost-effective manner that will yield long-term impacts for local communities.

Applications for the FIXR Program will be evaluated and awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis until program funding is exhausted. Please carefully review the Request for Applications, Application Form, and Budget Worksheet prior to submitting a FIXR application. FIXR Program project must be completed no later than May 31, 2026.
