The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) intends to release the Fall 2026 Cycle funding announcements for the Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award Program in August 2026.

The Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award Program supports projects that encourage active, meaningful involvement of patients, families, caregivers and the broader healthcare community as integral members of the patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) enterprise. (While previous funding announcements used “PCOR/CER,” all applications should now use “patient-centered CER.”) The Engagement Award Program does not fund research studies.

This preannouncement is provided to allow potential applicants additional time to develop responsive, high-quality submissions.

The Engagement Award: Dissemination Initiative funding opportunity funds projects that help organizations and communities actively communicate pertinent PCORI-funded research results to their specific audiences, including patients, families, caregivers and individuals within the broader healthcare community, in ways that will command their attention and interest and encourage use of this information in their healthcare decision making. Projects must focus on active dissemination that spreads awareness and increases knowledge of PCORI-funded research results. Key Dates
