THE FY2026 ELECTRIFYING COMMUNITY BUILDINGS GRANT PROGRAM IS NOWCLOSED AND IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
New! FY2027 Commercial & Community Buildings Grant Program Request for Information (RFI): The Maryland Energy Administration's FY2027 Commercial & Community Buildings RFI is now available. We welcome feedback from interested stakeholders to help inform program design and development. Responses will be accepted via JotForm through Friday, July 3.
Program Purpose: The Maryland Energy Administration is pleased to announce funding for the FY26 Electrifying Community Buildings Grant Program. This is a competitive program that provides Maryland community-serving buildings with the opportunity to request funding for projects that facilitate the efficient electrification of existing building systems, which may result in lifecycle cost reductions as well as zero onsite emissions. Funding will help more Marylanders cover a portion of upfront costs related to building electrification efforts and help facilities whose primary function is to serve the public shift from wasteful fossil fuel-powered equipment to greener electric alternatives.
This program is available as a result of Governor Moore’s commitment to invest $50 million for grants to electrify hospitals, schools, multi-family housing, and other community buildings.
