Get Ready...CDBG's Application Period is Here!

Business Oregon is now accepting Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2026 Fall application round. Applications will be accepted through _September 30th, 2026_.

This application is the regular bi-annual CDBG application round for those activities governed under the 2026 CDBG Method of Distribution (MOD).").

Potential applicants with well-developed, ready-to-proceed projects should first work with the Regional Development Officer (RDO) in their area in preparation for submitting an application, which will be accepted via email through your Business Oregon RDO. We look forward to working with communities throughout Oregon to fund important community projects.

We're conducting a 2026 CDBG Applicant Webcast for cities and counties interested in applying for _Community Development Block Grant_ funds in 2026 or for those who want to learn more about the program.

Note: _It's required for units of general local government who intend to pursue CDBG Program funding in 2026._ About the Applicant Webcast

Within the webcast, we describe the _State CDBG Program_ requirements, threshold and scoring criteria, and CDBG e-application utilization and completion. It's now available for registration and viewing.

Note: Once you've completed viewing the 2026 Webcast and obtained your certification, a copy of that enrollment certification will meet our application submission requirement. _Non-profit entities and grant administrators who may be aiding cities and counties are also strongly encouraged to participate._ Who is Eligible?

Non-metropolitan cities and counties in rural Oregon can apply for and receive grants. Oregon tribes, urban cities (Albany, Ashland, Beaverton, Bend, Corvallis, Eugene, Grants Pass, Gresham, Hillsboro, Medford, Portland, Redmond, Salem, and Springfield), and counties (Clackamas, Multnomah, Washington, Marion) that receive funds directly from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development are not eligible.
