The Advocacy Grant Program is designed to provide limited financial support to active stakeholders in Missouri’s innovation and technology ecosystems with the goal to support non-lobbying advocacy efforts that raise awareness and educate stakeholders about the value of supporting technology-based economic development (TBED) in Missouri. This includes efforts that align with the recommendations outlined by TEConomy Partners’ _Catalyzing Innovation Report_ to foster innovation and high-growth entrepreneurship _._
For detailed information about the Advocacy Grant Program, please review the Grant Proposal Guidelines (PDF) below.
The program will not support lobbying activities. The program is limited to supporting activities that broadly promote awareness and educate stakeholders about the value supporting TBED within Missouri.
No program funding will come directly from state funds allocated to MTC by the Missouri legislature. Program Goals and Objectives
By providing grant-based financial support for events that engage key stakeholders, including elected officials, the program aims to advocate for TBED efforts in Missouri and increase the awareness of Missouri’s technology-based innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem impacts.
Through these advocacy efforts, MTC aims to strengthen the understanding among stakeholders of how technology-based innovation and entrepreneurship contribute to driving economic development throughout the state. This grant program is also intended to support fostering stronger relationships with decision-makers and those within Missouri’s TBED ecosystem.
